Rusty is president and CEO of RBN Energy, a fundamentals analytics company providing consulting and advisory services, best known for its rock-music themed Daily Energy Post, a blog that goes deep into the details about energy market trends, the mechanics of how energy markets function, and the workings of economic and operational energy models.
Rusty spent 20 years with Texaco (now Chevron), serving as Vice President of Natural Gas Marketing and Trading and Manager of NGL Supply. Subsequently he was Vice President of Business Development for The Williams Companies, President of Altra Energy Technologies and co-owner of Bentek Energy. Mr. Braziel holds BBA and MBA degrees in business and finance from Stephen F. Austin University. In 2014 he was named Stephen F. Austin Distinguished Alumni.
The musical theme of RBN’s daily blog harkens back to Braziel’s previous career in the music industry. From the mid-1960s to the mid-1980s he played bass, guitar and pedal steel in a number of rock and country groups in East Texas, Tulsa and Los Angeles.
